On September 14, 2014, Morris E. Fischer, Esq. along with Scott Elkind, Esq. from Elkind & Shea, LLP lectured to the Dystonia Support Group of Greater Washington, DC, at Holy Cross hospital, Silver Spring, MD. Mr. Fischer spoke on the best way to obtain disability accommodations from an employee’s company or federal agency. “Being proactive and assertive is very important and making one’s accommodation requests known from the start is key,” emphasized Fischer. “However, there may come a point when it is obvious to all that the employee cannot work because of his or her disability. At that point, the employee should contact a disability benefits firm and Scott Elkind, Esq. is one of the leading Maryland attorneys in the field of disability benefits.”
Mr. Fischer is one of the dystonia group’s regularly, featured speakers. He has kept the group aware of changes and developments in disability discrimination law over the last 3-4 years.
